DESCRIPTION:In conjunction with Earth Day\, 2017\, the Albert Lea - Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce Green Committee is pleased to announce establishment of their first ever Environmental Leader Award. It is essential for a responsible program of economic and community development to address our community's ongoing environmental needs. Continued economic growth and expansion do not have to come at the sacrifice of the natural resources Albert Lea offers.\n\n\n\nThe Chamber would like to recognize a business that is proactive in taking steps\, above and beyond what is required by policy or law\, to protect our precious environment as well as our quality of life in Freeborn County. The Albert Lea - Freeborn County Chamber Green Committee is encouraged by the commitment to environmental sustainability of our member businesses and wishes to recognize those efforts.\n\n\n\nAll  businesses in Freeborn County are eligible to be nominated.  Employers and employees are encouraged to nominate their own business. Completed nomination forms must be received by June 30\, 2017.\n\n\n\nPlease click here for the nomination form. Click here for the Questionnaire.\n\n\n\nFollowing that deadline\, the nominees will be contacted directly by a committee member to obtain background information for evaluation. The winner will be featured in local media and at the Chamber's annual meeting in October.
